Adaptability
The system components are engineered to be totally fiexible and their modularity ensures a theme of uncompromised quality throughout.
Provided the initial concept remains,d line are pleased to consider any format of the basis elements to suit design conditions and building constraints and will encourage schematic development of the product in close consultation with the d line distributing engineers.
Design feature
The entire programme is mechanically assembled, eliminating the aesthetic compromisses associated with traditional welded fabrications.
A damaged section of handrail could be easily and quickly replaced to the benefit of the end-user.
Handrail components
Utillsing a unique internally expanding connector, handrail sections are attached at each end to bead blasted these in turn locate into slotted barrels that can be aligned to nay angle through 360° thus preparing the handrail for the intended fixing configuration.Option are listed as follows :
IIustration A :
Wall mounted handrail – secret fixing
IIustration B :
Wall mounted handrail – rosette fixing
IIustration C :
Glass mounted handrail – Bolt throungh fixing.
IIustration D :
Glass mounted handrail – Back to back fixing.
IIustration E :
Balustrade toprail connection. |

Accommodating directional change
As natural extensiom to the range, the handrail and balustrade programme maintains the fundamental design characteristiecs of d line where bends are formed to a radius equal to the diameter of the tube.
Each standard 90° (F) or 45° bend (G) is dimensionally adjusted to suit the prevailing requirements and incorporated into the system using the same connection mechanics as the running rail with eapanding cones forming a universal internal fixing.
The intelligent – engineered omnibend
(H) articulates directional change allowing the handrail to accommodate all geometric conditions whilst enhancing the modular product rationale.
Terminations
Interchangeable components allow a wide range of handrail termination and fixing alternatives.Ends of wall mounted handrail may be returned and fixed (K) or cantilevered and capped (L) where a solid core is included support the rail.
The Block (M) is connected to steel or concrete with a single central bolt and precise vertical alignment is achieved with top and bottom adjustable jacking discs recessed into the leading face of the component.

Balustrade components
The satin stainless steel upright supports both the balustrade infill panel and offset toprail.
All statutory load conditions are accommodated by the programme provided the fixing centres conform to the guildelines set out in our outline specifications.
Infill panels and their imposed loading are top restained by an adjustable barrel at the head of each upright, whilst the applied UDL and point forces are efficiently transferred to the structure by the intelligent engineered selflevelling Block which also acts an infill clamp for edge or stringer fixed applications.
Alternative connections
In contrast to the sophisticated side fixing Block, a simple spigot connection (N) is available comprising an extension of the upright which is grouted into a preformed mortice.
When the spigot fixing is utllized infill panels are clamped to the lower section of the upright with a secondary slotted boss.
Adaptations of both standard fixings and other bespoke connections of the uprights can be developed with the d line distributing engineers subject always to structural verification.

Balustrade infill panels
Glass is considered a natural choice for balustrade infill in clear and tinted options with the ability to apply artwork manifestations using acid etching and screen printing processes.
Infill panels are supplied directly by the d line distributing engineers who are able to offer a variety of materials including perforated or solid steel sheet.
Product support
The geomemetry of a staircass structure has a direct and distinct bearing on the flow of the balustrade toprail and therefore the correct relationship between treads at each landing intersection is paramount to achieving the optimum design of any guarding solution.
The d line distributing engineers offer guidance for setting out staircases to maintain the most desirable configuration of toprail and infill
Architects, specifiers and engineers are invited to obtain a specification and quotation from the d line distributing engineers based upon a complete supply and installation package.
The sevice includes technical support/representation,site survey of each contract by qualified engineers,CAD working drawing of approval and full contract management through to project completion.
